About the event

Have you ever wondered what an easement is or whether it would be right for your land? Enjoy a dinner of BBQ brisket provided by Pit Stop BBQ with fellow landowners and get answers to your questions. Join us for a panel discussion led by southwest Montana landowners that have protected family lands with a conservation easement and can speak first-hand about the logistics of doing so, and the impacts this decision has had on their land and family. The discussion will be facilitated by Daniel Anderson, a paradise valley rancher whose family placed their land in a conservation easement in 1999, who will be joined by the following landowners:

  • Allen & Yvonne Martinell, Lee Martinell Co Ranch (Dell, MT)
  • Les Gilman, Gilman IH Cattle Co Ranch (Alder, MT)
  • Rick Berg, Berg Ranch Co (Martinsdale, MT)
  • Dan High, Broksle Ranch (Twin Bridges, MT)

Driving Directions to The Woodson Ranch in Sheridan, MT:

From Laurin (7 mi. south of Sheridan), head NW on Ruby River. Drive for 2 miles until you see an event sign on the right.
